What Is Vacuum Degree Measurement Tester?
Arc quenching is carried out in a vacuum environment. The opening and closing of the current carrying contacts takes place in the vacuum chamber of the breaker, which is called the vacuum breaker. A vacuum used as the arc extinguishing medium in a circuit breaker is known as a vacuum circuit breaker because the vacuum provides high insulation strength due to its superior arc extinguishing properties.
Vacuum Degree Measurement Tester is a common method used to evaluate whether the vacuum degree of vacuum tube is broken. This method is an arc quenching chamber that can only assess the serious deterioration of the vacuum degree. When the vacuum degree drops to 10-2 — 10-1 Pa, the arc extinguishing chamber has already failed, although the breakdown voltage does not decrease.
