Ironing Dropping Apparatus meets the standard of EN/IEC 60335-2-3 Clause 21.101. It is used to mechanical strength test of the electric iron.
Test Procedure:
The iron is operated under normal operation at rated power input and the soleplate temperature is maintained under these conditions throughout the test.
The iron is then suspended by its handle with the soleplate in the horizontal position. It is dropped from a height of 40 mm onto a rigidly supported steel plate having a thickness of at least 15 mm and a mass of at least 15 kg. The test is carried out 1 000 times at a rate not exceeding 20 drops per min.
The test is conducted so that the iron rests on the steel plate for approximately 15 % of the time.
FEATURES
Hang up the electric iron, and make the control device is horizontal to the bottom plate, then drop from a height of 40 mm and fall to a rigid support plate which is at least 15 mm thick, with mass at least 15kg, process the test 1000 cycles at the speed of no exceed 20 cycles per min. Ensure that the electric iron stays on the steel plate at least 15% of the total time of each cycle, and this is realized by the cam structure.
