Horizontal Vertical Flame Tester is designed and manufactured according to the standards of IEC 60695-11-3, IEC60695-11-4, IEC 60695-11-10, IEC 60695-11-20.
It simulates the influence of early-stage flame when there is a fire around the electric and electronic products, so that to judge the igniting danger degree. It is mainly used in plastic and other non-metallic material sample, solid material. It is also applicable in the Horizontal, vertical flammability test of the relative combustion characteristic of foam plastics whose density is no-less than 250kg/m according to ISO845 test method.
İt adopts integral type inlet ignition system. The combustion time delays 0.1s thus to make sure the sufficient time of gas burning. This is with matte black background, multi-functional flame measure gauge, stainless steel of box full, large observation window, imported digital indicator of high precision, nice appearance. And it gathers a number of advantages of similar products home and abroad.

What is the UL94 Standard?
UL 94 (Underwriters Laboratories test standard UL 94) is one of the most widely used flammability tests to determine flammability in plastic materials. It measures the ability of the plastic part to extinguish the flame after ignition and its dripping behavior in response to a small flame or heat source under controlled laboratory conditions.
Flammability is affected by the following various factors:
- Ease of ignition – how quickly a material ignites
- Flame propagation – how fast the fire spreads on a polymer surface
- Fire resistance – how quickly fire penetrates a wall or barrier
- Heat release rate – how much heat is released and how quickly
- Ease of extinction – how quickly the flame chemistry leads to extinction
- Smoke evolution
- Toxic gas production
IEC 60695-11-3:2012 provides detailed requirements for the manufacture of one of two 500 W nominal, premixed type test flames.
IEC 60695-11-4:2011 provides a description of the apparatus required to produce a 50 W test flame and a calibration procedure to check that the produced test flame meets the given requirements.
IEC 60695-11-10 covers the small-scale laboratory scanning process to compare the vertically or horizontally oriented relative combustion property of samples made of plastic or other non-metallic material, exposed to a small flame ignition source of 50 W rated power.
IEC 60695-11-20 covers the small-scale laboratory screening process to compare the relative flammability as well as their resistance to combustion of samples made of plastic or other non-metallic material, exposed to a rated power of 500 W flame ignition source.
